Busted: Fake claims of sucess in Waziristan by Pakistan Army, Govt. and Media

November 19, 2009

Seems like the Hawkish Pakistani Government, Army and Media needs more Money and Weapons as beggings (AID) to deal with itself (terrorists).

Any ways they are ready to blame their failure on India, Israel and US (remember the so called axis of RAW, Mossad and CIA)….

Alert India

‘We have ‘voluntarily withdrawn’ to trap army,’ says Pak Taliban

ISLAMABAD – The Taliban has rejected the Pakistan Army’s claims of capturing strategic locations in South Waziristan, saying they have ‘voluntarily withdrawn’ into the mountains as part of a well planned strategy.

“We have not been defeated. We have voluntarily withdrawn into the mountains under a strategy that will trap the Pakistan Army in the area,” The Daily Times quoted self-proclaimed spokesperson of the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan, Azam Tariq, as saying.

Tariq emphasized that the military would never be allowed to achieve its objectives in Waziristan, and that the Taliban would continue to fight the US.

He urged the Mehsud tribe not to offer any help to the army in the ongoing struggle in South Waziristan.

“The Mehsuds should stay away from the enemy’s propaganda which says they should raise militias against the Taliban,” Tariq said. (ANI)

Malik challenges reports that say SwatTaliban commander Fazlullah is alive

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan Interior Minister Rehman Malik has challenged media reports that claim that SwatTaliban commander Mullah Fazlullah is alive and has sneaked into Afghanistan.

Addressing a function at the police lines here, Malik said: “In case the Afghan Government knows where Fazlullah is hiding, they should apprehend and hand him over to Pakistan.”

The BBC’s Urdu service had reported that Fazlullah had called them and said that he has safely crossed over to Afghanistan.

Fazlullah reportedly called the BBC and claimed that he was in Afghanistan and that his fighters would soon start guerrilla attacks against security forces in Swat.

He also threatened that North West Frontier Province (NWFP) Information Minister Iftikhar Hussain would meet the same fate as formerAfghan President Dr Najibullah, who was killed by the Taliban in 1996.(ANI)
